The duration of a Vietnamese cooking class with traditional and streetfood dishes is 3,5 hours. First, I introduce myself and tell you about my Asian roots and passion for Southeast-Asian cuisines.
You learn about specific flavors, aroma's, history, uses, and combinations of key ingredients of Vietnamese cuisine.
I guide you step by step how to combine these ingredients, and to cook several delicious and tasteful Vietnamese dishes.
Finally, you enjoy the dishes that you have cooked yourself, thān h̄ı̂ xr̀xy na (enjoy your meal)!
We always take into account everyone's dietary requirements and allergies.
The group is divided into small groups of 2 people. Each group cooks 1 or 2 Vietnamese dishes. At the end of the cooking workshop a Vietnamese tasting menu consisting of my favorite dishes is cooked and eaten afterwards, enjoy!
"Super cozy and delicious!"
We attended the Vietnamese cooking workshop. It was easy to follow and fun to make and try new dishes. It was nice that David took the time to explain everything in English for the people who didn't speak Dutch. Highly recommended! "
My mission is to make Vietnamese cuisine accessible to everyone. I often notice that my guests think that:
"Super educational, fun and delicious experience!"
For my friend's birthday we did a Vietnamese cooking workshop with David. After a short introduction about himself, his past, family, and how he started cooking, he broadly talked about the ingredients we would be working with.
Together with him we made some delicious Vietnamese dishes; fresh spring rolls, and the famous Pho Bo, among others. During the cooking he guided us in our cooking technique, he showed us everything neatly before we were allowed to try it ourselves and afterwards we ate our works of art.
Overall, great!

I use different locations for my Vietnamese cooking classes, depending on format and group size:
I always provide private cooking classes for groups of 6 people at Vrijheidslaan 26-1 in Amsterdam. I have a large kitchen where guests can both cook and dine. Expect a relaxed living room setting.
I always provide private cooking classes for groups from 8 to 20 people, team outings, and open group cooking classes at Bilderdijkstraat 175h in Amsterdam (Gallery 3). During the day this is a lunch restaurant, and in the evening I use this location for my cooking classes. Expect a relaxed restaurant setting.
Cooking classes for groups larger than 20 people are also possible. For these groups I use various cooking studios in and around Amsterdam. Curious about the possibilities? Send me a message via the contact form and I will contact you shortly!
